    Single pipe 392sqft system with an EG-40 rated for 325sqft and it's silent and balanced at all times.

    Already bought 1" based on multiple threads I read up on here - as well as what I have room for between the mains and the floor joists. Even 1" won't fit in several places.

    It will be probably be good enough - and the basement is going to be turned into a semi-finished living space so a bit of heat loss from the mains won't be the end of the world.

    Even now with them almost completely unininsulated, the basement does not get uncomfortably warm.
