Freezing cold heat, hotel PTACs

Sitting in yet another uncomfortable hotel room. Wall stat at 23c, outdoor 1c here in Montreal
PTAC 4 minutes on, 10 minutes off, floor temperature freezing cold.
I put a cup of water near the wall unit window flashing, will it be ice in the morning, with low of -5C expected?
A few suggestions for the hotel industry,
Tie the television volume to the heat pump.
Move the bed up near the ceiling, its the only warm spot in the room!
Provide down sleeping bags.
Interesting that last week in Alaska, -35F and the hydronically heated room at Sophie's Station were perfectly comfortable. No drafts, no noise, no cycling, at about 1/2 the price.

PTACs are nothing but junk. Just an elongated window banger.
As far as I know, they're only used in N. America. I've stayed in 100 story hotels in Asia and they had ductless in every room.Bob Boan
You can choose to do what you want, but you cannot choose the consequences.0 -

Maybe you should pack a small electric space heater. The Pelonis ceramic heaters are pretty compact.0

PTACs are cheap, and the owner can buy them direct. If someone could convince the owners that COMFORT sells rooms, they might get onboard with a radiant ceiling heating and cooling system. Did you make ice Bob?
I feel your pain.
That and cold bathroom floors irk me.
