Glenn Stanton retiring and also needs our prayers (Worked for Burnham)

I received this from Glenn this AM.

Hi Tim

Just a note to let you know I accepted an early retirement package from the company (Burnham) today and will be retired as of Monday as I approach my 64th birthday in two weeks. Health has taken a turn for the worse again and I dearly need some rest as I resume chemo treatment next Thursday. I'm glad I got to see you and your wife a few weeks ago while I was in remission.

As you know I have kept my battle with Stage 4 cancer pretty much quiet for the most part while I was working and going through treatment and I appreciate you helping me keep that in the background. Now that I am no longer working I would like those that do know that I appreciate the thoughts and prayers. I no longer feel a need to it quiet as the power of prayer has been a remarkable thing for me. If you choose to let the good people on the web know I will be grateful for their prayers and support as well.

Sent from my iPad

Glenn is one of the finest people I have had the pleasure of doing business with over the years. I met him many years ago when he was working I believe for Supply New England (not sure if that was the company). He has always been ready to help and educate all of us on his product and he was good at it. He will be greatly missed in the industry.

He is in my and Judy's prayers everyday. We love you Glenn and will miss you. May God touch you and heal you as we pray.

Never met you but that's not a prerequisite for prayer to the almighty. Stay positive. You can do this.

Glenn Stanton is, to me, a legend in this business. During his career he brought professionalism to an oft-maligned industry and education to an otherwise adrift generation of young technicians. He granted numerous in-house training sessions to my staff and me that answered questions we'd had for years. His message was the simple notion that "developing a troubleshooting method that works for you, however unorthodox, will always be better than no method" is a lesson not only to techs but to managers as well.
Glenn Stanton has always been one of Burnham's most valuable assets. Both my company and the American heating industry will always be in his debt.
I wish him and his loved ones the best, always.

Damn....A GIANT of our Industry.. Glenn is a rare breed in his position. While others would defend the company's position IRRESPECTIVE of the issue, Glenn always looked out for the small, struggling contractor that I was. He got me in the Burnham calendar twice...that was awesome. He ran a great seminar, was also ALWAYS available with a quick return email or call. He made it EASY to be enthusiastic about Burnham. The one time he REALLY bailed Me out was when a potential client, who I had done a ton of work for had me order about $25 K in
The Classic Victorian radiators. Because I trusted them, I never took a deposit. The husband wanted me to write up fraudulent invoices for fire sprinkler work (YEAH...) that I hadn't even seen. I was stuck with the rads OR a $3000.00 restocking fee., which apparently was S.O.P. Glenn made a call and got it sqaushed.

Whew was I grateful! Glenn I will pray for u every day till you beat the S#*@%| outta The Cancer. Love ya man, your friend. Mad Dog

I went to one of his seminars in the past, it was great. So sorry to hear of his retirement & cancer. Sure will be thinking of him and praying that he can beat it and enjoy his retirement.
