considering putting a radiator in the basement
Comments
-
the extra radiator I have is a colmn type radiator, about 20" tall andmaybe 6 sections

I was wrong, it's 8 sections 20" high and 6tubes going back0

I don't know if you need this information0

Fred says he has a ceiling radiator he wants to get rid of. If it's not to big, I wonder if this would be good for my laundry room0
-
Can't but help. More radiation lower the water temps.0

Gordy, you still think in series, or pipe it normally?
Wouldn't it be warmer in the laundry roompiped normally?

It would be warmer if piped in parallel, like the rest of the first floor. You said something about wanting "a little heat" down there which brought up the series option. Putting the radiator in series with the return line would increase the combustion efficiency of the boiler by returning cooler water to it.0
