    What is

the fixture unit demand load? It all starts from there. Then, it is simple math.

    loads

the units are all 1 bed, 1 bathroom and kit sink. Peak demand would be in the morning and evening. There would be 60 showers and 120 sinks.

find out the make & model of the tank. go on their website & they should provide performance stats at a specific boiler btu & water temp. That would be the btu's required for domestic hot water production. If the boiler is being used for space heating, do a heatloss to make sure your covered for both scenarios.
