Heating issue: heat is not reaching the second floor thru the wall units

I have a Eeil-McLain boiler it has a tag on it. CP1310144. It was installed June 5, 1987. The manual says it covers series one and series 2 information.
The valve that goes to the 2nd floor was replaced last week because the hot water was not flowing through the valve for the second floor. now the hot water is flowing through, but there’s still no heat coming to the second floor. What would be the next step to possibly fix?

Uh, you’re gonna have to be more detailed in your description. What valves were replaced? Zone valves? Boiler isolation valves? Radiator valves?

“hot water was not flowing through the valve for the second floor now the hot water is flowing through, but there’s still no heat coming to the second floor”. This sounds confusing. Please explain more clearly.

What type of heat emitters do you have?

    Agreed What Valves?

Was the 2nd floor emitters bleed?

    Who did this work?

Any work that required draining the system would require a good purge on all the zones.

Zone valve motors could be replaced without a drain down.

Pictures would add some detail to your question

Call the person that did the work back and tell them it isn't working.

The pipes are probably air bound and need bleeding.

And don't pay them anything additional it should be part of the install.

If you paid someone to do repairs, it should work before payment. If its not working, call them back. It might just be air locked.

If you did the work yourself, post some pictures.
