    With all valves closed, I filled boiler. Expansion tank was set to 15. Boiler gauge read 15 and held steady, closed fill valve. Continued to hold. Opened water tank isolation valves for cold inlet and pressure creep-ed up and up on its way to 30

    i believe those have a lifetime warranty as long as you don't have too high a chloride content in your water.

    New and improved. Indeed a bad tank. Bye. bye sharkbites. Tank warranty expired last May,,Joy! Thanks for all the help and feedback! Most appreciated! Time to take a shower and run the dishwasher. Cheers

    is that tank new?

    if you put the concrete blocks under the pan you can lay them flat. also makes it easier to get the drain running downhill.

    yeah, most of their tanks are stainless with a cupronickel coil which was why i was a little surprised that it was the tank, but steel tanks will fail. keep the anode in good condition or replace it with an electric one.
