Adding More Insulation to SpacePak Air Handler?

Pretty much similar to heating. No one designs for the worst case. Where I am designing for 95 is already above the ASHRAE design temp and we have seen 100 ish this year.
So the indoor temps slip up. This makes the unit run longer which keeps the humidity in check which makes the upward temp slip less objectional.
Sounds like the OPs unit is doing all it can do.
The op may want to consider blowing some insulation in the old walls rather than changing the unit. Or add a mini split to help out.

what about a dehumidifier somewhere in the space to drop the wb?

Op said 42% inside that is pretty dry.

Agreed. Problem is that the walls are plaster and not sure how they can get insulation in there. I appreciate all the answers and help. Sounds like the system is fine, but my house itself could use some work, lol.😁

Don't know what your siding is like but they can blow insulation in. If it is vinyl or aluminum, they could take some siding off drill the holes to blow in the insulation and put the siding back on

you can drill holes in plaster and blow in or inject insulation then patch the holes, you just need to know how to treat the plaster so you don't destroy it. however if it is old enough to be wet plaster it also probably wouldn't do well moisture wise if you sealed it up.

The people drilling the holes in the plaster aren't the same people who will be repairing the holes, so I'd be a little wary. I like what @EBEBRATT-Ed wrote. Go from the outside. Unless the OP knows a great mud slinger.
