Hello fellas ,I found this at the ends of both mains. Is this a vent of some sort or a plug? Thank you in advance! I love this site and read it everyday!

Can you blow through it? If not, it's a plug…or a plugged vent

Take it apart. Are there any markings on it? It kinda looks like an automatic hot water bleeder, but its missing the holes.

it doesn’t come apart but it looks like it would. Can’t blow thru it. Just wondered if it was some special weird device. Thanks for the quick responses.

Check if it has left handed threads

    Pull off the c-ring first.

No left handed threads. I’m good without it. It was on a tee that was bushed down to 1/4” I removed and replaced both vents already but wanted to double check

C-ring doesn’t budge. I cleaned the inside of it out and it’s flat at the end. It’s empty. I don’t know. I’m going to say it’s not important.

looks like a capped male by flare adapter. Possibly used as both a plug and when the cap is cracked open, used as a vent.?

no name. Same size on both mains. Just a basic one pipe system

looks like a cellulose disc type bleeder or a small relief valve.
