question about upgrading Smith Gates Thermostat

Options
I have in floor heat controlled by a 10+ year old Smith Gates thermostat and want to upgrade to something with a timer, even better something with a wifi option. the old one has what I assume is a thermocouple (single thick bare copper lead embedded in the body of the thermostat that I assume goes down the wall and ends up embedded in the tile floor somewhere. The only other wires are the 240v power leads. Can anyone suggest what my options are please?

I have the same Smith Gates Thermostat and I am also wondering if there is something out there that replaces this the most with WiFi capabilities?

How 'bout a pic or two, including one with the cover removed?

    I just found this at supplyhouse.com: https://www.supplyhouse.com/Mysa-MYSA-IN-FLOOR-V1-0-Mysa-Smart-Thermostat-for-Electric-In-Floor-Heating.

    No experience with it.

Can yo provide the model number of that thermostat? I can't be sure, but from the description it sounds as though you have in-floor electric radiant heat, and the thermostat is turning that on and off — though it is possible that the thermostat is actually modulating the power to the floor elements, based on temperature.

That lead going somewhere into the floor may not be a thermocouple lead. It may also be a capillary tube, with a switch in the thermostat itself.

But all that said, we need the exact model number of the thermostat…
