Burnham V904 make up water

I have a new Burnham V904 Steam boiler with a domestic hot water coil.

How much "make up" water should be used in a month (VXT120 Water feed).

No leaks in return or at air valves

It varies, and you will get differing opinions and experiences. More than a gallon a week and I'd be real worried. A gallon a month seems reasonable. Some — like the one I tend to — use a gallon per year, exclusive of necessary LWCO blowdowns.

    A leek?

    This leek looks very serious:

After you make that expensive repair and you still have the same problem, What will you check next?

According to Burnham, any more than 22 gallons per month added to a V904 is cause for concern.

This should be called out around Page 50 of the Installation Manual.
