Does anyone know if this is PEX A, B or C? Can Uponor expansion fittings be used as this Sharkbite fitting has failed.

You could try to expand it and see what happens. If it doesn't neck when you expand it, it should make an acceptable joint, if it necks then you will need to use some sort of crimp connection.

Odd. I haven't. But what @kcopp says above about Viega. They are the other type I use. Mostly use with great results and should work in replacing the shark bite.

I haven’t been to the job yet, but they probably nicked the o-ring when it was installed or it wasn’t inserted all the way.
