Stop Leak for my Burnham

I have an old Burnham boiler that started to leak a few weeks ago. I plan to replace it but would like to make it last the winter. I want to add some stop leak to the boiler but I am concerned about what stop leak could do to my entire system, mainly the heating pipes themselves, I have base boards. Is this stuff know for being bad for your pipes? Advice for keeping it in the boiler and not allowing it to circulate?

    When you install the new boiler you can flush out all the stop leak. it will not foul or damage pipes

    After you make that expensive repair and you still have the same problem, What will you check next?

    You only need a month to 6 weeks maybe just let it leak.

    Why wait?
    start getting prices, lining up the contractor, getting BTU capacity’s.

    I would personally be very very cautious. The leak stop can't differentiate between a hole in your boiler and the "hole" in your baseboard or pipe, halfway across the house.
