8 way separated

I use 8 way in my boiler, at about a third of the concentration recommended on the bottle, I add till the pH is 11. When the boiler is running there is a band of clear water in the sight glass, 5-10 minutes after the boiler stops it is back to a homogeneous solution. I don't see it is a problem, but think it is weird.

Blow down the sight glass & see if the clear water comes back.0

Hello @Neild5,
Is the clear liquid at the top of the sight glass actually condensate from the steam entering from the top port of the sight glass assembly ? When the steam stops the new (chemical free) condensate stops. During idle periods it all goes back into an equal mixture.
