    Nice, I love those sight glasses! I see you were careful in modulating the steam flow with the valve. Did you experience liftoff of the impeller with high levels of flow?

    I have an xmas ornament like that somewhere.

    I'm guessing he didn't want to accidentally lose it in the main somewhere.

    I did keep it pretty limited but I might give it more juice when I’m ready to open it up again. I gotta lock it in place better.

    I have it screened at the bottom and I don’t think I’d lose it in the main but I didn’t want it to fall off the pin

    That reminds me of the little sight glasses on the old gasoline pumps in which something bounced around or twirled to show that gasoline was flowing.
