One rad heats up before the others can.

in Strictly Steam

The small white radiator is an outlier compared to the rest of them, i have 7 radiators, all of them are like the first one except this one. The little white one has a #4 mid o mist vent, but it heats up instantaneously. The other ones take roughly 30 minutes to get heat from one end to the other. Does anyone have a recommendation to slow the heat down on this rad?

    what do you recommend? I thought a #4 is the lowest it’ll go

    Get a Ventrite #1 adjustable.  Probably the best vent for low venting control.

    Is the small radiator one of the first ones on the line? Do you have adequate main venting in the basement?

    Yeah check the main venting. Don’t waste time or money trying to go smaller than a #4
