Wifi Temperature probes

Does anyone know if any Wifi thermostats probes that can be strapped onto copper piping? We have an issue with a commercial boiler that tends to happen once the sun goes down and it's really cold (<10°). I thought if I can find Wifi probes and an app, it could be monitored remotely. At least we'd be able to tell what the water temp is when the system isn't working. Thanks.

$$$$$$ - heat-timer platinum control system with app
$$/time - make your own raspberry pi system
$$ - wifi cameras to record the existing thermometers (i did this..)
$ - just use those amazon meat probes with all functions built in. compare with existing thermometers and note the accuracy. some reviews show they are using it for this purpose with success. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09JK4QHWJ/

Thanks @dko. I have thought about the Wifi camera. That seems to be the best solution. The problem with that is it doesn't track the temps and without a live look, it's hard to tell what's happening. I have used the 'TempStick' which is a Wifi sensor with an app and it tracks the temps for 24 hours. However, they only make a room sensor and not a clamps on strap.

I have put those cheap wifi temp sensors on my radiators and on my steam pipes and had good success. You don't need super accuracy to determine that the system went down right? If it's over 150 or whatever you know it's online. Give some of those a try.

You might enclose one of these Ecobee around the pipe. It may may read fluid temperature , but would tell if the system went off

or dissect one and see what is inside

There must be some electronics inside in addition to a thermistor

hello, i use this product to keep tabs on a couple commercial hot water heaters. i get a promt alert via email if the high or low temp alert point is reached, and i get a daily high/low/average email. not sure if that helps you out.

I use the fireboard BBQ setup on my snowmelt system. It allows me to see temperatures through the app.

Look at Monnit alta wireless sensors. You can use their long range sensors to a gateway. Pressure, temp occupancy. Not too pricey but accurate. Takes sensors, gateway and monnit express software for one of the more simple setups.
They have more elaborate enterprise scale stuff too.
     Have fun

Glad you like them. Their wireless 900mhz was have great long range capability. The wifi one looks like it will do for much of what's needed. The wireless with their enterprise gateway can be programmed to control their wireless relays to based on parameters set I noticed to.

Maybe the RXW series can help.
Onset has all kinds of Temperature/RH/Lumen/Pressure/O2 data logging equipment that may help shed some light on the situation.
