The greatest fighters, thinkers, Lawyers and plumbers get schooled from time to time.  Doesn't lessen their greatness, it just adds to their Ring Experience.  There's always someone out there that has more experience in specific areas.  If you worked on the same task and equipment everyday, you too would be its master.  A Challenge to our orthodoxy keeps our blade sharp.  As you always Told me Dan : "Competition is good!"  Mad Dog 🐕

Ok now im confused Doesn't take much. LOL Do we not use a vacuum breaker? I recommend them on every brewery with a control valve. They seem to make it work. Im 65 and learn something new every day

Is Ray saying the vacuum breaker placement should be elsewhere? Use a bubble-tight control valve?

Yes, use a vacuum breaker, but know that there may be things going on that will fool the vacuum breaker. Learning every day!

I recommend them on every brewery

One of the best Oktoberfest beers comes from Cleveland. Only three months away.

    I DIY.

here's another angle on the 28" min vacuum break issue: The same thing happens on a reach-in freezer defrost cycle. I had to lower the condensate traps 3 ft from the coil to prevent the water from being sucked back into the unit and landing all over the product when the freeze cycle and the fans started back up. Problem solved !
