    All of which is why I like the Hoffman Differential Loop. No moving parts. Short of taking a hammer to it, I can't think of a way to make it fail. And it does the job.

    All of which is why I like the Hoffman Differential Loop. No moving parts. Short of taking a hammer to it, I can't think of a way to make it fail. And it does the job.

    If you're going to keep building in your family for decades it pays to think hard about design with minimum of moving parts. And it may even be less expensive. Pumps are most obvious example.

    Fun to work through the steam system through your eyes. How simple one pipe worked using the thermal dynamics of the system to simply make it do the work, and how it go more complicated with more and piping and devices being added. Like you said look at the whole thing. That is where experience comes in.
