Is there a more accurate Pressuretrol?

I have this style / model Honeywell Pressuretrol.

If I engage the adjustment screw approximately 1 turn or less so it doesn’t pull out, the pressure will reach 4.5 psi.

If I disengage the screw so it’s at its lowest setting (basically deactivated) it will reach 1.5 psi.

The diff is at 1.

I’d like to replace the unit with a more accurate unit so I can keep it at 0.5-1 psi.

Thanks in advance.

Tom.

Vaporstat. Put it in series with the pressuretrol so the pressuretrol acts as a backup.

    Hello @Bodycount,

As @mattmia2 stated a Vaporstat 16 Oz and less, is probably the most common addition. If you are tripping out with pressure you may want to add a delay timer too. Also Dwyer makes a variety of low pressure switching devices.

I played with my Pressuretrol a bit since I read some folks just removed the spring, but that may have created erratic cycling, so I did this, an easy modification. Come to find out, in my case the EDR is greater than the boiler rating so my system never makes pressure more than a few inches of water column. So my Pressuretrol is just a safety device.
