Hydrolevel VXT question

On a VXT, if I set it for 1 gallon, does that mean it fills until the LWCO is covered and then adds an additional gallon?
Trying to squeeze the best out of a Weil-McLain JB-5 running a 1912 1 pipe system.

It depends on how far below the water line the LWCO probe is. Some (mostly older) boilers didn't put the primary probe tapping in the most appropriate place.EBEBRATT-Ed said:How much you set it for depends on the physical size of the boiler,
