Hydrolevel VXT question

On a VXT, if I set it for 1 gallon, does that mean it fills until the LWCO is covered and then adds an additional gallon?

I believe it adds 1 gallon -- more or less.

You can set it for 1,2,3,4 or 5 gallons. When the water comes up to the probe level and your set for 1 gallon it adds 1 gallon above the probe set for 2 it adds 2 gallons etc.

How much you set it for depends on the physical size of the boiler,

How much you set it for depends on the physical size of the boiler,

It depends on how far below the water line the LWCO probe is. Some (mostly older) boilers didn't put the primary probe tapping in the most appropriate place.
