My brother called from North Carolina and is looking to see if there are replacement controls for a Mr. Steam bathtub. He called the manufacturer and they said they no longer support the product and suggested he spend $5,000 for a new one. Is this a lost cause?

What exactly does the control do (all it's functions). Seems like there are enough brains here to figure out a way to build one.

Do the buttons still work?

If not, it might be something other than the control, i.e. power in, fuse, low water, etc.

I think Ebay is the best option. There are likely several models using the same controller, maybe even other brands I would be curious what the schematic for the steam gen looks like. I've tried reverse engineering proprietary controls like that with little success. Have him take a picture of the nameplate, schematic and control board on the steamer.

Ray, I got one in polished chrome. New, unused, in original box with all parts (steam head, wall flange, cable etc.). Part# MS1-PC I was keeping it to pass on to my heirs. Mine is for a steam shower. I'll post a pic tomorrow.
