    This is the 3rd hotel in a week. Motel 8 in Colorado and a Holiday inn Express in North Carolina.

    do you think a co detector from lowes would have worked? Im thinking of keeping one in my travel bag?

    A CO detector from Lowes may keep you from dying but not from getting poisoned and taken to a hospital.

    Yes it is sad.
    In this hotel, the service suffered a long time ago. Now there are have problems with the boiler.A series of failures
    Dangerously. :(

    A few years ago, friends of mine were in a motel lobby waiting to be picked up for a class. Some wore low level detectors on their belts. Started going off. Told the desk agent to call the fire department. No. OK, we'll do it. I think he finally called. Pool heater, no combustion air.

    I have a big-box CO detector on each floor of my house (required by local code). But in my bedroom, I also have an earlier model of one of these:

    Ditto, except my older CO Experts detector reached its end of life and was replaced with that current version. :)
