You'd probably have better luck finding Ron Jr on FB. (Ron Poniatowski) Haven't seen him post here in a hundred years.

I'd show, but too far to travel.

Danny boy, it's an informal gathering of Wallies that we've had in the past. Not sure of the derivation of the name, but I think Dano coined it or borrowed it. After the Wetstocks were done, it was a way to meet folks from here, hang out, eat, drink, talk shop, life. You'd be surprised who would show up: a quiet lurker, random homeowners, an engineer, Joe Plumber. You always left with a great time had by all. Wives, girlfriends came sometimes. I threw 3 or 4
Because I believe that group social gatherings are a thing of the past that we all need to do a lot more : camaraderie, commiseration, laughs, beer, manhattans, networking. We can have it anywhere and The Plattduetsche would be great
For us, but let's see what interest we get and from whom and take it from there. The last one I did was at A corner pub near Penn station
The one & only Mr Johnny White and few NYC guys made it a perfect choice. I wouldn't expect an out of towner to have to go out to East Cupcake, ya know? Stay tuned. Mad Dog

We always had a blast. I held one in an Italian restaurant one year (2002?), fixed price with a great meal and unlimited wine, and introduced about 70 wallies to grappa for the first time. The next day, collectively, we looked like Jonestown. But the friends we all made and the stories were priceless.

You guys should all come to the West coast and do it. You know, get out of that nasty part of the country and its bad weather.
Besides, it is a lot closer to travel, although still a stretch. I feel left out here...
Sounds like it would be a great time though.

I may venture since my main job right this minute is watching a sleeping grandson. But it needs to be warm.
  • I've never been to New York. Could be a good excuse to venture east, no?
ME: We could pick you up on the way.

I'll hoist some fresh, non-preservative German brews in your all's honor. Tilt the stein to the men who throw down on the Island! Just wish one of ya were close here (Germany/Belgium/France) so I could speak a little native tongue & actually understand more what's going on with this German contraption of mine :p
