    Pump, zone valve, control or the heat exchanger itself. There's a number of reasons. More details?

    Is the Amtrol Boilermate old or new. The older ones had a small heat exchanger with high head loss. But, you didn't specify why you think it didn't work. There is a boiler somewhere in the mix + a circulator + piping. It's just a storage tank with a heat exchanger. Can't get more simple than that.

    Gosh, maybe there is a valve closed somewhere.
