Can I utilize one outdoor temp sensor for 2 controls

Hi. I have a navien combi boiler and I am going to add the outdoor reset sensor to improve efficiency of the radiant floor heating system which warms the basement slab. My question is I already have a 10k ohm sensor that works with a carrier furnace to control the humidifier during the winter, can I tie the Navien boiler wire into that same sensor - it is the correct spec but I haven't been able to find out if it will cause an issue with the Navien or the Humidifier control. Wondering if anyone has tried this. Trying to avoid having to install a second sensor system which would involve more holes in the wall. Thanks

No. The sensor is like a thermistor and works off resistance. If you splice two controls in parallel to one sensor, the humidifier probably wouldn't work, and the boiler would read, sensor error. It'll be anarchy.

HBX Controls has a wireless outdoor sensor that allows up to 5 devices to one outdoor sensor. You would need two base units and one sensor.

Thanks for the advice I will buy a new sensor system for the Navien, Up until now I have had it set at a constant 117 degrees per the engineer who designed the system. I'd like to make use of the outdoor temp feature so it adjusts the water temp accordingly.
