Will a Flow Restrictor solve my problem

Hi.
I have a customer with an oil fired boiler with a domestic coil. They have complaints that shower not maintaining temp. properly. I went to the property and see that it stays on a comfortable temperature for about 2 to 3 minutes, After that, I then needed to turn it further in the hot setting to get it comfortable again. Otherwise it is already somewhat cold. and this continues like this.
Would a flow restrictor on coil help them have a more steady shower?

    The domestic coil may need to be flushed. If you look at the manufacturer ratings, they should tell you how many gpm of hot water it will produce.

    A flow restrictor will probably help but we need more information:
    Steam or water boiler
    If steam is the boiler water level covering the tankless coil
    The coil may need cleaning as @Harvey Ramer said
    what temperature is your boiler water
    does the coil have a mixing valve and is it working properly

    As @Harvey Ramer and @EBEBRATT-Ed have noted -- if it worked some time ago, but not now, I'd bet on the coil needing to be cleaned. Either inside or outside -- or both.

    Hi,
    It its a steam boiler and coiler definitely not totally covered. Not a proper mixing valve. .. He has multiple tenants and just bought property... I know I'm jumping ...would he be best off with a booster tank.. or do you all think we could get coil to do job for his multiple showers?
    Has like 4 to 5 showers.

    Look into adding an indirect or another type of hot water heater.

    A tankless coil will not satisfy multiple tennants
