Anyone have any experience breaking loose pipe 6" to 1/4" that x-pando was used to seal the threads.. No teflon.
I'm not a fan of it, as it does very well at sealing pipemjoints, but I find the nipple will colapse before the joint breaks loose.
You think torching it might break it up, or is something like aerokroil needed? Btw, dont use aero kroil then torch without wiping the aero kroil up first, lol

The instructions on the can say to use a hammer on the joint before attempting to turn the pipe. That stuff is hard but somewhat brittle.

Hammer and try to tighten it a smudge...then it should back off with effort.
