Which would have higher head: both being equal, 1/2" pipe or 3/4" pipe with a short 1/2" restriction? Thanks

The answer depends on both flow rate and total length.0 -

on the length of the pipes vs. the length of the restriction -- but if the restriction is definitely short with regard to the length of the pipe, then the half inch will have greater head loss with flow.Br. Jamie, osb

It's for an Air Compressor
The air compressor has a 3/4" outlet, it's about 15' run to a retractable hose reel with 50' or 3/8" hose. So I guess the question is should I pipe it with 1/2" or 3/4". Thanks0
