It's Sunday and my Raypak boiler HSI igniter is inop. I tried to manually light it to heat up some water for showers etc, but the burner won't stay lit. I checked the igniter and it is open. Does the igniter need to be in the circuit and have continuity for it to stay lit?

I believe
the ignitor is also the flame sensor. So it has to be working. All Steamed Up, Inc.

The igniter will
have to be replaced. The system will not work without it being able to sense the flame.
Even if a seperate flame sensor is used it will only work for one cycle, you would have to keep relighting it on every call.0
