Mixing counter flow and parallel flow

in Strictly Steam
Have a boiler replacement job. Adding new drop header etc. Gave quote, got job found one of two mains is counter-flow. Other main is parallel flow.



Can these two mains work in harmony?

    Counterflow System

    Here a picture I saved from last year of a excellent counterflow job done by Steve Gronski. Note the drip setup on the counterflow mains and the 45 degree entry to the header!  Beautiful work!  I thought maybe  it might be of help to you in planning your job.

    Nice idea

    Thanks for the idea, If I use a drip tee and drip leg back to the wet return of the other main, I should still be able to use the drop header I planned on and not have to drop into the counter flow main from the header.
