    Spirovent Stuck open ?

My spirovent is stuck in the open position and is dumping water and reducing system pressure to zero. Is this piece fixable, or should I just replace. System is only a few months old. Thanks in advance for your help.

    Disassemble it

There is a big float valve inside. Clean it up or you may have other problems going on. If you cannot take it down right now, screw a cap on it.

    This deep

into a spiro is fairly easy. The top end is a lot trickier I'd replace it if the actual top vent is stuck. Lube the O-ring when you reassemble, they are known to leak :)

    Wack

I have had 2 spirovents leaking on me and would not stop. I wacked the 1st with channellocks and it stopped so I did the same to the 2nd and it stopped.

This happens all the time with spirovents. Take just the top off and spray it out with carburetor cleaner. Smear the o ring with some pipe dope and put it back together.

    Thanks to all

Thanks for everyone's advice. I disassembled Spirovent and cleaned it. It seems to be working fine again. I will also call spirotherm and have them replace it.
