Advice on EG-40 reducing return side (repipe work)

I'm trying to remove a reducing bushing on the return side and I can't take it out .
The bushing is reduced to 1.25 inches . I'm trying to change it to 1.5 inch bushing.
What negative impact would there be if I use a close nipple out of the 1.25 inch and increase it to 1.5 inch using a 1.25 to 1.5 inch coupling ?

Very little difference. And a lot less risky than trying to dislodge a pesky bushing…
