    I saw this at a customer's place , Bosch 151 combi .

    Looks like a combi boiler. With that type of heat exchanger design the installation manual probably shows primary secondary piping is required or at least suggested.

    I'm not sure why you would have a mixing valve, as it is a low temperature friendly boiler.

    The installation manual would shed some light on what is proper piping.

    I have nothing to with the install, just saw it at a job. As @hot_rod said there is no ps piping and there is is a mixing valve which is completely unnecessary. They have the manual for it, apparently they don't know how to read.

    The red tubing ids confusing to me. Is it o2 barrier tubing? Looks like domestic hot non o2 tubing, but maybe things have changed since i've been installing this kind of stuff.

    So now what?

    Will you suggest to the customer it is mis -piped, possibly other issues?

    you cna get red oxygen barrier tubing. That doesn't mean that they did, but it does exist.

    Both Rehau and Mr Pex have red oxygen barrier tube.

    Zurn has a red non barrier tube, the stuff you see at Home Depot, etc. So color doesn't mean much when identifying tube.

    The infloor looks more orange. Watts Radiant pex used to be that color. So is some of the PERT tube.

    It should have info printed on the tube every 12" or so.

    If it is non barrier, a stainless pump and Amtrol Radiant Pro expansion tank give you all non ferrous components, so not a deal breaker.

    Since it is not in my home, I can't see anything wrong. LOL

    I might drop the homeowner or the builder a note to hold back a substantial $$$ amount to make sure that it works properly. Otherwise you may be paying someone extra top remove what is wrong in favor of what is needed. If the installer needs to get it to work before payment, then let the installer bare the cost of ripping out what is wrong with his work.

    It probably will work as shown. The boiler will need to run 15 degress warmer that the radiant required nsupply temperature for the mix valve to operate properly.

    9 loops is a bit much for a typical 3 Cv mix valve, and not knowing the pressure drop across the boiler? But with enough pump power??

    alternatively you can set up odr and it will just rum off the setpoint of the boiler, assuming the radiant only needs around 3gpm.
