Isometric drawing app?
Does anyone know of an inexpensive program for drawing isometric drawings. I use Draw and it's cumbersome to draw isometric shapes. I tried card programs and its such a steep learning curve and my reducing brain power :)

What exactly are you drawing and to what detail?

@HydronicMike I was just looking at some boiler piping layouts or boiler room details

Thirty years ago I was frustrated with drawing programs. So called drafting publishers didn't know what descriptive geometry is. So I gave up. Somehow somebody figures out lengths.

When I looked, I found everything could be divided into two columns: hard to use, and expensive and hard to use.
I ended up ordering some isometric graph paper and some stencils.

real cad programs work in an obscure enough way that unless you use them all the time you will forget once you learn. i don't have a good suggestion, just that cad programs are only good if you use them all the time. i use visio for the diagrams i draw. i have used google drawings a little but it lacks a lot of features and you end up making stuff something like visio would just do. i briefly knew how to use kicad a few years ago.

there are a few tools that they use to draw parts for 3d printing that aren't super hard to use and aren't impossibly limited in features. i have not done it myself but i have seen others use them.

Maybe drawl it up on paper & ask Grok to convert it to an SVG?
