Help needed with Fujitsu ducted inverter error 01-communication error

Hi all, I'm having trouble solving a 01 com error, the system is a Fujitsu AOT45LJBYL (outdoor unit) ART45LUAK (indoor unit) all was well until a gecko got in and shorted the main inverter pcb in the outdoor unit, I have replaced both the power supply pcb and the controller pcb boards in the outside unit with new ones but remain with a 01 error showing on the wall mounted controller inside and a single flash from the led on the pcb outside, the airflow works but no heating or cooling. I have checked the the wiring of both units and all is correct and secure. Can anyone suggest a test to tell whether the fault lies with the Inside or outside unit? That would be really helpful in narrowing the options down, I,m in the hills, east of Perth, Western Australia, very difficult to find good technicians here, mostly just aircon fitters.

Does the outdoor unit have a abnormal reset function?

I tried looking for your unit, it's kind of wild looks like a commercial medium-high pressure static duct we have state side

The other mini split brands I've installed all have service manuals available, either downloadable or from the salescritter. They have step by step procedures, generally along the lines of "Check voltage at point A, replace main PCB. Check voltage at point B, replace main PCB."

Recently, another forum member ended up finding a failed EEV stepper (after replacing the main PCB), which caused the replacement board to immediately fail as well. IIRC after they replaced the stepper & board again it worked.
