Heat nonstop running

My exwife had a small leak on her baseboard heating pipe which I repaired with a sharkbite fitting with great success, now the heat is constantly pumping out heat even when the thermostats turned down, the thermostats seems to be working properly, when it's turned up boiler kicks on and when turned down it shuts off but the heat is constantly flowing threw the pipes, thermostats on 50 and is currently 80 inside and the boiler still kicks on randomly maybe every 30 mins or so. Any help is greatly appreciated

Shooting off the cuff here but that sounds like you have a Flo-control valve open all the way, a zone valve running wild or a short between the t-stat wires. You say it shuts off from the thermostat and turns on with thermostat control?

Did you hit anything/move anything else when making this repair. Maybe post some pictures close up and away so that we can get a better look?

    Let's try again here.

Does the boiler turn on when the thermostat is turned up?

Does the boiler turn off when the thermostat is turned down?

There is a pump on there somewhere. Maybe more than one. Does that turn on when the thermostat is turned up? Does it turn off when the thermostat is turned down?

Your description is a little confusing as you say the boiler seems to respond to thermostat but, clearly, it doesn't if the system is running with the temperature at 80, but set for 50…

Maybe the relay that runs the circ pump is stuck on. Does the boiler have a tankless hot water heater?

The aqustat could be set too high and the flow control valve may be failed open.
