I have a hole in my boiler. I need a reputable service provider in Northeast Indiana. Any recommendations?

Honestly, not really. Northeast Indiana seems — well that whole area — seems to be sort of a black hole for service… try asking your local plumbing and heating supply house, or if you have a friendly plumber, ask him or her for suggestions.

I figured. I’ve had three different service providers here. One quickly gave me a quote for a new boiler. The other two danced around-never got back with me.
I will nurse the existing boiler along until spring and try them again.
In the mean time, if any of you experts from the northeast happen to be passing through northeast Indiana, let me know! I’ve read both of Dans books but would like to learn more. I have so many questions.

If you can't find a guy or company from the site, you only need to find an open minded plumber who is willing to learn something new and we can get him & you through it. MadDog

HYDRONIC & STEAM EQUIPMENT CO. has offices throughout Indiana.

You might try calling their South Bend or Fort Wayne offices and ask if they know of any knowledgable steam contractors in your area. Their Phone numbers are South Bend (574) 234 6005, and Fort Wayne (260) 489 5785.

Additionally, their staff is quite knowledgable, and have been known to visit job sites.

Hopes this helps you find a good contractor.

    Good luck.

Hole in the boiler means new boiler.

What type of heating system do you have? What type of boiler?
