Near Boiler Piping (again)
my buddies 2 pipe steam boiler that was replaced after a house fire (non-related) 3 years ago.
100 year old house (notice the new joists)
I have my thoughts but want to hear it from the pros
(Deleted insurance settlement)

We don't discuss pricing here, but I guess a payout from an insurance company isn't really pricing. Just don't tell us how much the contractor was paid, but I'm sure we can guess…
Was this a full system replacement? Meaning all the system piping, or was it just the boiler piping?
I ask because I'm having trouble seeing anything that is correct. The header is colliding. The mains aren't tied into the header individually. The returns are tied in above the water line, on 2 pipe I think this is less of an issue, but still odd to me. Maybe its the angle of the picture, but are there main vents? You say 2 pipe so there may be other subtleties that we can't see. Crossover traps, venting, etc. All depends on the type of 2 pipe. I'm not a 2 pipe expert so others may have thoughts.
