Boiler insulation refresh
Browsing various threads i noticed people's boilers have a layer of insulation on them. Looking under the jacket on my bryant i see none... is it missing? I don't see anything about it in the manual.
If it is missing, is it worth replacing? If so, with what?
Thanks

On the sides there's a little, yes. I mean on the sections themselves... the naked portion in the pic

It cant hurt. I would use the foil backed fiberglass duct wrap. Or you could probably use bare fiberglass. You could get a can of spray glue and glue the fiberglass to the inside of the jacket panels (clean them off first) Just insure that you don't block any air openings that allow combustion air into the burner.
