Circa 1920 levered manual steam valve

I have a number of these valves on my radiators that leak. I want to know what my best option is. I can't read the manufacture seems moul.....

These look like they can be replaced with any modern valve on the right side. The fun part is getting the connecting nipple out of the old radiator - if you are lucky that old thread has the same thread as a new valve, but odds are you won't be.

If they're leaking past the stem, you can repack them.

Its MOUAT.

2 pipe system? Looks like a regulating valve.

Mepco still makes those, be prepared for sticker shock.

You can't just swap them for a regular valve without additional work.

I agree, just replacing these with standard valves will cause all kinds of trouble. Use the MEPCOs.

Mouat vapor system. They are special metering valves.
