Field Service Business Software?
Professionals, are you using any field service software like Service Titan or Jobber?
I’m not entirely happy with the one we’ve been using for several years now. I feel like it’s missing a few key features and am looking to upgrade. Thanks for any recommendations you may have.

I've used Field edge. Integrates with quick books. Been very happy.

Thank you. I’m looking to give my guys the ability to call the client through the app as they approach their address rather than have to reveal their own phone numbers.

*67+10 digit number will mask their numbers if you dont find an app. Might end up going to voicemail but better than being called all hours of the day.

I’ve been on ST for 6 years- I’ve never paid so much money for something I hate so dearly. But I’m too lazy to change 😔.
If you need to track different departments, I understand that it’s the top and nothing is closeWe are a small 10 person co- if I’m making or losing money, I don’t need software to tell me where it’s coming from and going to.
Busy= making money
Slow= losing money
HCP made me sit through an hour zoom recently. Maybe the time is now to jump0 -
I agree but we find people tend to not pick up the call when it's coming from a blocked number.

Have you ever tried Google voice or similar service, @JohnNY ? I believe you can make the incoming number be your business number.
You might be able to have the employees even use the free personal version.

Software is just another tool. Both a Rigid or Reed wrench or tubing cutter will do the job :)
It comes down to the commitment of someone to learn how to use the program, you need someone willing to do that on your team, generally not the owner, you shouldn't be a data entry person. But you should be able to access the data, know how to use the program, to make good business decisions.
Involve your office staff or dispatcher on the decision of which program to invest in. There is probably not a program that is everything for everybody. Find someone that has used the program you are considering,
Service Titan seems to have a very user friendly help team, connections to companies similar to yours.
According to my wife that works for them :)

I used both ServiceM8 and Coolfront apps with the pay by invoice. This is less expensive initially, and each invoice supposedly added the cost of the invoice (about $1.50) so they really don’t cost anything.
Both link to Quick Books. Both have the phone number app to give the business number as the caller ID from the employee’s phone call you are interested in. Also sends SMS text with a map that shows your employee’s travel ETA
Disadvantage to serviceM8 is that they are located in Australia and tech-support is done through email. No real time tech-supportI’m not sure if cool front is available with the pay by invoice feature anymore since it merged with field edge All I know is that I still have about 15 invoices left on my cool front account that I stopped using when I retired five years ago. It comes in handy when I want to help my son price up a job.

After you make that expensive repair and you still have the same problem, What will you check next?

Amen to all this. I can't get involved in scheduling or dispatching and that's what these programs seem to do best. Billing, and an easy rapport, is still best left to the team in the house on residential work.
