Recent ASHRAE handbooks are not helpful in my opinion. If you can find APPLICATIONS & EQUIPMENT from the sixties or seventies…..

You need to worry about defrost and humidity control. Also worry about frozen soil below floor. Niagara Blower brochures were helpful in those days.

@jumper Your right about ASHRAE. I have a 1964 book and it's like GOLD. The newer stuff 70s and later is all theory they don't tell you anything.
