Solstice Inverter Extreme heatpump problems

I'm interested in knowing if anybody has experience with the Solstice ILP HP48 heatpump. I have had mine almost 2 years. I live in a cold and snowy area, and lately have had problems with it stopping due to faults which are likely due to defrost issues. The system then shuts down. I want to know if this is a pattern, and if so is there a common problem that causes it. Or is it just that the system gets overwhelmed with ice.

No heat pump should get overwhelmed with ice.
Who installed this?
What repairs have been / made tried?0 -
"lately have had problems with it stopping due to faults"
I believe you have answered your own question, if the unit is dropping out due to faults, the faults need to be corrected. You need to know the specific faults, and what can cause those faults, to find what the problem is. This is likely beyond a DIY1
