Can I turn off my LG Low Static Ducted Heat Pump for the winter?

Do people know about these units? I want to turn off my LG Red MultiF Low Static Ducted unit LDN127HV4 for the winter and close/cover my ceiling vents. Is it inadvisable I do that? And then turn it back on for summer cooling?
I live in southern New England where the winters are cold and the summers are hot. For now I am looking to use my old system for heating and want to cover/close the ceiling registers to reduce heat loss. I know these units are sensitive and maybe aren't compatible with turning off for the season...
If I can, how to do it correctly, avoiding any damage? I didn't see anything about this in the engineering manual.
Thank you

Hi
So I am going over things again and I am realizing I don't even know if there is a way for me to turn it off at the thermostat...0
