This was in a NJ Rest Stop somewhere on Route 17 .  This is supposed to be ADA compliant and Handicap accessible!!  A wheelchair bound person could bump thaf waste pipe and get a Bath on their legs and lap.  They might also snag the Hot water flex, panick and yank it off the valve and Scald themselves..

I HOPE a Plumbing inspector didn't ok this and that it was done without inspection! Disheartening 😔...Mad Dog 🐕

I too look at the plumbing everywhere I go haha

When it looks like that, I usually assume it's the work of the business owner/homeowner.

Blue stripe flex is cold, red stripe flex is hot. What's the problem...lmao.
Look at the lath and plaster behind that eschutcheon.

There was an error rendering this rich post.

Thanks for the insight @Mad Dog_2, Perhaps I could stop by there in my wheelchair and do just that. Big payday for me. The guy in the wheelchair always wins in a jury trial.

After you make that expensive repair and you still have the same problem, What will you check next?

Probably a proximity activation mechanism (I don't know the industry name) to turn the water on when you put your hand under the faucet

What a masterpiece! Dollars to doughnuts, the NJDOT paid good money for that! Of course, it could be a temp repair to get thru Thanksgiving.
