foam to block mini split vent

when they installed my cassette in my bedroom ceiling they blocked off the vent facing the wall because they said it could affect temp readings. however i later discovered i didnt like the other side of the vent because it was blowing air on my face in bed. i took the cover off and saw they put in 2 thin pieces of foam with adhesive on one side. i took off the piece that covered 25 percent of the opening and put it on the bed side vent to block it.
where do you get such foam? just a big box store? i guess it really doesnt matter what is in the cassette as long as it blocks what i want. but i now want to block one of the vents in my living room because of how it's blowing. or any other suggestions. heck could just a piece of paper or envelope be ok? most of the usage is for AC but i may do occasional spot heating of a room in the winter . unsure how temps would affect cardboard/envelope etc.

Sometimes there are louvers in the equipment to direct air? But the temperatures are low, even when heating, so I'd say that pretty much anything you can slip in or tape on will work fine. Just make sure it doesn't rattle!Br. Jamie, osb

the fujitsu has adjustable or you can hit pos1 which means it stays put instead of 'swinging'. i think the foam has the sticky stuff so you can install it without it falling so id just have to tape an envelope over the part of the duct thats bugging me in the living room. though i guess if i ever used heat maybe the heat would melt the tape ..maybe id try it without tape first.0

Do NOT block off any of the supply air!0

it's not supply, the supply is probably 1 ft square. its out of the one of 4 small vents and he said blocking 1 is totally fine because he blocked the one that was up against my bedroom wall.
example of unit here and there are 3 other vents so no worries

Blocking 1 restricts the air flow 25%. Not allowed!0
