I always go back to boiler, and pressure,
did you replace the pigtail yet?
your gage may not be seeing the boiler pressure any better than the Ptrol is, they're both after the pigtail,
and even then,
the rest of the Ptrol and gage piping there needs to be checked for clear and free breathing back into the boiler also,
second thing,
the water line in the sightglass is up a bit, and from the pictures, looks real close to the boiler take off level, even with that properish header, you may be throwing wet steam up into the system,
try lowering the water level closer to 1/2 a glass,
and why is the level that high? is auto feeder doing this?
is sightglass emptying when firing?
high, unseen, pressure pushing water out into the returns?
does that water line bounce much when you're firing?

Water line does drop and bounce when in operation, especially during a long heating cycle. I think the auto fill kicks in at certain times when this happens. Not every time.
Why do you say properish header? What would you suggest be changed?

The risers from the boiler should come into the sides or top of the header. Dropping down into the top is best but the side is fine bottom isn't.

Try (just for the hell of it) switching one of the ‘bad’ Gortons to a Hoffman or a Vent-rite and see if the radiator ‘suddenly’ works as it should. Also, I suggest in the absence of good steam guys in your neighborhood, that you do a bit of mechanical research and become that guy. Sometimes, it’s hard to sift through answers because people replying or saying one thing in their mind other than what you’re really talking about because they are not present at your house. This makes things very difficult and you also have to become a detective with the answers. Don’t forget you can also private message people too, and carry on a private discussion with an individual or I think maybe a couple individuals..not sure on that last part. Maybe Erin can clarify that.gwgillplumbingandheating.com

Maybe the Gorton 2 main vents are not opening, and therefore all the air is going out the radiator vents.—NBC0
