I have a 5 year old AirEase heat pump that's working fine. Is it necessary to add the product A/C Re-New to it when there are no issues?

    I wouldn’t.
Nothing but refrigerant and refrigeration oil.

It’s good stuff, but the only time that I’ve used it is when the system had a sticking TXV and the manufacturer recommended that as an easier alternative to replacing it. It worked  quite well in curing the problem.
